Universal Music Group is a large and important record worldwide. What is it for business, which manages the record labels and the artists belong to this label?

General information

Universal Music Group was called until 1995 MCA Music Entertainment. Its roots, however, lie with the American Decca Records in 1934. The company is located in 77 countries and is governed by French group Vivendi SA, a large international group in the field of media, communication and entertainment. Since 2006, the label is 100% owned by the Vivendi group. Headquartered in Santa Monica and New York City. UMG represents a variety of well-known international labels. It is the largest music content company in the world. It is among the top four music labels along with Sony BMG, Warner Music and EMI Group.
It is not so, since this is an international company, which are connected only international artists. Dutch member of UMG artists include Jan Keizer, Ilse de Lange, Guus Meeuwis, Herman van Veen, Rigby and the Youth Alive.
